Description
+7 Combat Strength vs. units in districts.
Historical Context
Heavy cavalry wasn’t much good in urban combat, and the mounted soldiers usually dismounted to join in the looting, despoiling, and such after a city had fallen. Breaching the walls and actually capturing the city was left to the poor infantry and artillery. However, cavalry was very good at terrorizing un-walled neighborhoods, marauding through the streets and riding down civilians and soldiers alike that didn’t get out of their way. Things haven’t changed much between antiquity and modern times; tanks still aren’t very good in street fighting, but are superb at blitzing through the suburbs … Stalingrad, Berlin, Manila, etc.
